Services

I am grateful and privileged that you are considering working together. Rest assured that when you reach out, I will first find ways to get to know your story and then we will work collaboratively to come up with options to best support your care.

Together, we will figure out which coping tools and approaches can be most suitable for the context and circumstance you’re in. Each session will be tailored to your needs and I will often be asking for feedback to ensure a positive and safe experience.

Individual Therapy

$175 per 50-minute session

Clients will identify relate to their parts in a more compassionate and nurturing way. Clients will discover what these parts are wanting most and be more open and curious, befriending parts as supposed to disowning / discarding them. IFS / parts work is a non-pathologizing and compassionate frame to support internal integration and healing. The goal is often to support clients to become less blended with their parts, such that they are no longer reacting to situations or people from the distressed part.

While IFS is a more frequently used modality, I will also introduce other approaches like Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), mindfulness, and CBT to help provide the most comprehensive care to you.

EMDR

$175 per 50 minute session

EMDR encourages the client to focus on the trauma memory while simultaneously engaging in bilateral stimulation (either eye movements, audio or tactile). The goal of EMDR is to help reduce disturbance associated with the past and to bring the trauma memory to an adaptive resolution. Clients with a history of attachment wounding OR PTSD can often present with specific negative cognition that shape their view of self. A very important part of EMDR is to help clients shift this view and perspective, from a maladaptive view of self to a more positive and adaptive view of self.

Besides Trauma, EMDR has also been proven to be very effective with performance/social anxiety, panic disorder, phobias including driving anxiety, fear of flying, fear of heights as well as traumatic grief.

Couples Therapy

$200 per 60 minute session or $250 for an extended 75 minute session.

Couples therapy is where couples learn to negotiate difference and to acknowledge the other person’s reality even when they may often not agree. It is learning the role and part each partner plays, the way they trigger and are triggered by the other, the behaviors and strategies that get deployed, and the influence of one’s family of origin on present reactivity. Often, the use of parts work and inner child work can also be supportive here to help each partner engage in a process of self discovery with themselves, thereby reducing the blaming cycle that often happens in fights and escalations outside of therapy. Emphasis will be placed on increasing flexibility, curiosity and accountability, all of which help the couple become more empathetic, nurturing and differentiated.

Approaches that I have experience in treating couples includes the developmental model (I.e. Inquirer / Initiator process), Gottman Approach, Relational life Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
