Each 50-minute session costs $175 for individuals and $200 for couples. If you are either a Kaiser member or have LYRA through your employer, please mention this at our initial phone consult and we can discuss further. If I am out of network, I will gladly provide a “superbill” for reimbursement.

I am in network with Kaiser Southern California and LYRA EAP. Feel free to mention this at our initial call and I can explain further what the next steps would be to use Kaiser or LYRA for therapy.

It’s common practice to start therapy weekly as most research has shown that the therapeutic alliance and rapport is paramount to therapy effectiveness and progress. That being said, the frequency can sometimes vary depending on finances, scheduling and reason for coming to therapy. It’s best to discuss this topic more thoroughly in the first call to make sure you’re comfortable with the cadence.

As of January 1, 2022, under U.S. federal law related to the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to provide clients and patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance to pay for their care with a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for their healthcare needs, inclusive of psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services.
You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
